
Bitdeer, an industry-leading technology company building the world’s leading cryptocurrency mining and artificial intelligence powerhouse, today announced its self-mined Bitcoin production in May soared 218%. They demonstrated new AI cloud services improvements to their mining technology. The publicly traded company managed to mine 196 BTC, worth more than $21 million, an 18.1% rise from the month of April. This increase is attributed to the increased global deployment of Bitdeer’s SEALMINER A1 and A2 units. These units are now in use on all of the company’s global mining locations.
In May, Bitdeer built 9 EH/s of SEALMINER A2s and delivered 2.9 EH/s of these units to non-affiliated customers. The company sold and shipped over 1.6 EH/s of its SEALMINER A2s in the process over the same period. These developments are a testament to Bitdeer’s innovative drive and its capability to cater to the rapidly rising market for effective and sustainable mining solutions.

Bitdeer's self-mining hashrate reached 13.6 EH/s by the end of May, reflecting the company's ongoing expansion and technological enhancements. In May, the company raised $50 million in cash. This was happening at the same time as Tether was exercising warrants from an old private placement.
Bitdeer has grown beyond just its mining operations. It has since followed up by launching its AI Cloud service—currently based on more than ten leading LLMs (LLaMA, DeepSeek, Qwen Variants, etc.) The launch of this new service constitutes Bitdeer’s entry into the AI sector, wherein the company aims to leverage its technological infrastructure to provide AI solutions.
Self-mining expansion Bitdeer also announced that it remains on course to provide more than 40 EH/s of self-mining capacity by October 2025. Norway Over the next few months, the company’s 175 MW site in Tydal, Norway will be completely energized by June. This development will further improve its already impressive mining capabilities. The newest, 221 MW site in Massillon, Ohio, is expected to come online in the second half of 2025. This expansion will significantly increase Bitdeer’s operational capacity.
Looking forward, we remain on track to deliver over 40 EH/s of self-mining capacity by October 2025. Further, in May, we sold and shipped approximately 1.6 EH/s of our SEALMINER A2s to external customers. Bitdeer is developing the next-generation A4 SEALMINER chip, which aims for an efficiency of 5 J/TH, by Q4 2025. This latest development is expected to further increase the efficiency and profitability of Bitdeer’s mining operations.
